When you join PTA, you join millions of others who care about issues that affect kids - childhood obesity, media violence, parent involvement, and of course education! PTA Membership is open to anyone concerned with the education and well being of children and youth. 

Why Join?  Membership is important to any organization and especially to volunteer organizations.  Membership is especially important to the PTA.  At a local level, membership supports schools with volunteers and funds (raised through member dues and PTA fundraisers) that provide vital after-school activities and classroom support.  At a state and national level, membership not only gives the organization a stronger voice with lawmakers and provides vital financial resources to create programs and policies, it gives members an opportunity to play a larger role in shaping the future of our children.
