The overall purpose of PTA is:
" To make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children"
PTA works towards this purpose while adhering to its' values of Collaboration, Committment, Accountability, Respect, Inclusivity and Integrity.

Here is where you will find current calendar information with important information for those already involved or others wanting to be involved in their local PTA. In addition you will find information regarding training events and state conventions. These events are opportunities for you to connect with other PTA leaders from your city or across the state and further develop your own leadership and advocacy skills.
You can support the youth in your community with programs from both State and National PTA. These include support for the arts, parent engagement, healthy lifestyles and many others.
Members are the lifeblood of PTA. You each provide the passion, leadership skills and hard work necessary to achieve PTA's vision that every child's potential becomes a reality. In addition, your memebrship in PTA provides access to valuable benefits offered through National PTA.

For more than 100 years, PTA has advocated on behalf of kids on the local, state and national level. Child labor laws, universal kindergarten, school breakfast and lunch programs, and universal immunization-- these are all things that we take for granted today but were hard fought victories for PTA. PTA is committed to supporting legislation that protects children and ensures every child gets a great education.
